Construction Timeline

There’s a lot that goes into building your new home and we want you to be informed every step of the way.

Step 1

Selections Meeting
This happens in various stages of the build process depending on when you purchased. We schedule this meeting within 10 days of going under contract. This is when you get to dream about your new home and pick everything in it!

Step 2

Footings Poured
The footing is the backbone of the house. It supports the foundation and transfers all that weight from the house to the ground.

Step 3

Foundation Poured
Our home’s foundations are thoroughly inspected and have extra piers for an extra strong home.

Step 4

Framing
Your house is starting to look like a home!

Step 5

Dry-in
Now is the time for the roof, windows, and temporary exterior doors to be installed
so the inside of the home is protected
 from the elements.

Step 6

Open Wall Walk-through
We will walk you through your home and 
show you the location of outlets, switches, and plumbing. You will also get the opportunity 
to customize the look and feel of the front 
of your home.

Step 7

Drywall
Now the inside of your will start 
coming into focus.

Step 8

Making it Pretty!
Tile, Flooring, and Cabinets are installed, and Paint starts going on the walls!

Step 9

Fixtures
Be on the lookout for your light fixtures and plumbing features to go up!

Step 10

Exterior
Depending on weather, your yard, brick,
stone, and siding could go in anywhere from
Step 6 to Step 12!

Step 11

Punch-out & Touch-up
Bussell Homes has an extensive quality control process to ensure every Bussell home is in great shape for you to move in.
We thoroughly inspect the home to make sure it is sparkly clean and as perfect as perfect can be!

Step 12

Home Orientation
We will do a walk-through with you to show you all of the things you need to know about your NEW Bussell Home.

We carry the cost of construction, which insulates you from construction loan interest, origination fees, and other carrying costs. When it’s time to close, we’ll help you secure a standard mortgage—just like buying an existing home.
